Hello Everybody!
This is the first blog post from Annie. We hope that you’ll enjoy reading!
Week one of classes got off to a very exciting start as the newly designed songbooks have arrived! As you can see the design has been completed revamped. The beautiful illustrations are by Jaime Kim and we hope they will inspire you to enjoy the book at home with your children. Have you already started using it?
A lovely way to start is by flicking through it with your child, follow their interest and linger over the pages that they are most drawn to. Apples and Cherries is a great page to jump right in! Sing as you look at the pictures and there are some other foods drawn at the bottom of the page that you can use as a jumping off point to make your own lyrics!
How about using the book at bedtime? Our teachers always recommend singing a lullaby at bedtime to soothe and connect. There’s a lovely picture of a starry sky over a river that accompanies the song Shenandoah.
At the front of the book there is a place for you to write your child’s name and age when they started the collection and at the back of the book there is space for you to write their favorite songs, memorable moments from class and other memories from this precious period of your child’s life.
All the members of staff at Azabu Music Together have been parents in Music Together classes in the past. We know how quickly children grow up but we’ve created memories in class that will last us a lifetime.
We hope that you will create lasting memories and songs that will live with you for years to come.
